Bullitt County Community Health Assessment

Bullitt County 2020: Tell us how we get there! BCHD has started its community health assessment and we need YOUR input to understand how we can work together to create a healthier Bullitt County by 2020. Please join us on June 30, 2015 from 12:00-1:30pm to help us with Bullitt County Visioning at Bullitt County Health Department Annex. We will be answering and brainstorming some of the following questions: Where do we, as a community, see ourselves in three to five years? What does a healthy community mean to you? What are important characteristics of a healthy community for all who work, learn, live, and play here? What needs to be in place for us to work together effectively to achieve our vision? During this phase of MAPP (Mobilizing for Action through Planning and Partnerships) community members and local public health system partners are collaboratively determining a focus, purpose, and direction for the MAPP process that results in a shared vision and corresponding value statements. A shared community vision provides an overarching goal for the community?a statement of what the ideal future looks like. Values are the fundamental principles and beliefs that guide a community-driven planning process. MAPP should be completed every 5 years, for Bullitt County this is our second assessment.
