Greater Louisville Inc. DC Fly-In Event Description
For the first time since 2009, join GLI for this two-day event in Washington D.C. to lobby elected officials from across the region. The Fly-In provides networking opportunities with elected officials, Washington insiders, and other event attendees and is an excellent opportunity to help shape and promote GLI’s federal priorities. This year will include meetings with Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, White House Director of Intergovernmental Affairs Jerry Abramson, Congressmen Hal Rogers, John Yarmuth, Todd Young, and more.
The $1,200* cost of the trip includes ground transportation (to and from all official Fly-In activities), one night hotel accommodations at The Mandarin Oriental, kick-off breakfast at the hotel with a welcome from DC veteran lobbyist Charlie Grizzle, lunch at the exclusive Capitol Hill Club, keynoted by Jack Howard, Senior Vice President of Congressional and Public Affairs for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, a cocktail reception overlooking the White House with our Kentucky and Indiana Congressional Delegations, and issue briefings with key members of Congress, the White House, and senior staff.
