Kentucky Blood Center loves its Kentucky blood donors, and we need you at this upcoming drive to boost the winter blood supply.

Winter weather and illnesses have had an impact on KBC’s blood supply in 2025. As the blood provider for more than 70 hospitals in Kentucky, local patients rely on a healthy blood supply for everything from traumas to cancer treatments, surgeries, diseases, organ transplants and more. 

All registered donors at this upcoming drive will receive an “I Love KY Blood Donors” long-sleeve shirt (while supplies last). All JOM/J&J employees and contractors (working daily at the KDC site) will be registered in a raffle for a paid full day off. All non-employees will be required to show a government-issued photo ID at the guard gate.

The blood donation process is easy and has a major impact on the community. Whole blood donations take less than an hour from registration to refreshment. One donation can save up to three local lives.

Blood donors must be at least 17 years old (16 with parental consent), weigh at least 110 pounds, be in general good health, show a photo ID and meet additional requirements.
