Welcome Summer Camping Night June 11 @ 7:00 pm - June 12 @ 7:00 am As spring turns to summer, observe changes in the nocturnal sky through a unique overnight program at Bernheim?s Earth Measure. Volunteer Naturalists will share stories of the constellations and lead night hikes, as the Louisville Astronomical Society provides telescopes for viewing the moon, planets, and stars. Information about Earth Measure and local sculptor Matt Weir will also be shared around the bonfire, where acoustic instruments and visitor storytelling is also welcome. Chairs and blankets are recommended for viewing the cosmos and small tents can be set up. Participants are expected to clean up and leave no trace. Food and beverages are welcome, but alcohol, fires, and pets are strictly prohibited.
