Human Resources Generalist (Part-Time 24 hours/week)

This position is responsible for general HR duties as follows:
 

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
     
  • Lead for Payroll and Timekeeping Administration including Processing semi-monthly payroll, data input, quality review, producing payroll reports and monthly/quarterly/annual payroll requests.
  • Oversee Wellness program including management and coordination of wellness events.
  • Maintaining HR items on the intranet including the directory, calendar, organizational chart, and updated documents/procedures
  • Sending bereavement notices and handling flowers/gifts
  • Monthly/Annual reporting (Headcount, EEO, Turnover, Demographics, Time to Fill and any Ad-hoc reporting requests as needed)
  • Processing Employment Verifications
  • Create monthly HR communications.
  • Maintaining personnel files
  • Maintain training records and annual compliance training reports.
  • Manage annual compliance requirements (ACA, 5 Consecutive Days Off, Training Attendance, etc).
  • Assist in recruitment (as needed) and participate in New Hire Orientation, Job Fairs
  • Backup to Corydon Exec Asst/CSR on purchasing, Board portal
  • Subject matter expert in KRONOS payroll system This position is expected to understand the significant control procedures and the compliance policies related to day-to-day job duties.  All control procedures that this position has responsibility for accomplishing, as well as those for which it has direct oversight, will be accomplished according to policies and procedures.  This position is responsible for understanding and following all federal and regulatory policies and is responsible for the compliance of all direct reports.  This position is responsible for disclosing to the Asset-Liability Committee all commitments, contracts or other agreements that it enters into or changes, or that it may be aware of from other areas of the company.

REQUIREMENTS FOR POSITION (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES)
 
  • High School degree required.
  • College degree or currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field required.
  • Minimum 2+ years’ general Human Resources experience, including experience with payroll processing (preferably KRONOS) preferred.
  • PHR/SPHR preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Exceptional organizational skills. Familiarity with applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Strong technical skills in payroll and HRIS/performance management systems
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.
 
 
  • CRA REQUIREMENT:
  • Expected to understand the bank's obligations under the Community Reinvestment Act and how to fulfill them.  Expected to cooperate with and support the bank's CRA program.  Will be held accountable for any lack of cooperation that weakens the bank's CRA performance, as reflected in internal audits, agency examinations and/or community projects.

  • Regular office conditions.
  • May travel to other branches in KY and IN.
